This 1956 107" pick-up was originally sold from a garage in Ledbury, Worcestershire. The 107 was used in and about Ledbury until the early 1970's, when it was replaced by a Series III. It was put into storage for the next twenty or so years until it was briefly put back on the road in the late 1990's. It was parked up for the next few years and started to deteriorate. We were lucky enough to purchase the 107 a few years ago and decided that we would give it a full mechanical rebuild, but try to retain its time-worn character.

The engine was in excellent condition having been completely rebuilt in the past. The gearbox and transfer box were also in good condition and just required some new oil seals. The axles were in a poor state ; A rear halfshaft was broken and the front axle quite worn.

We stripped the 107 down, repaired the chassis and painted/waxoyled it. Both axles were completely rebuilt and a completely new braking system fitted. The bulkhead was dropped off with Staff Dovey, in mid Wales, who repaired it to an excellent standard, and it was re-painted in a colour to match the faded body panels. The suspension springs were replaced with new-old-stock Unipart items and new shock absorbers fitted. The bodywork was repaired and re-fitted, retaining the beautiful faded paintwork. Finally the 107 was completely re-wired using an original cloth type wiring loom from Autosparks and the electrical switches and lights repaired.
